Obituary for Felix "Bubby" Denson

Felix Denson, son of the late Isaac Denson and Georgia Savage, was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 17, 1951. He departed this earthly life on Friday, January 18, 2019.

“Bubby Core,” as he was affectionately called by many, was reared in a Christian home by the Core family of “Seaside” Parksley, Virginia. He joined Metompkin Baptist Church at an early age. He also attended services at St. James United Methodist Church in Pocomoke City, Maryland. Bubby graduated from Mary N. Smith High School, class of 1970. He had several jobs in the maintenance field, including the City of Norfolk, Pocomoke City, Douglas Repairs, and lastly, a seasonal worker for the town of Ocean City, Maryland. He received an Honorable discharge from the Army National Guard, where he was bestowed with several awards and ribbons.

Bubby loved being outdoors; he had a passion for God’s nature. He loved flowers, plants, bushes, trees, and cutting grass, so much that he owned and operated the Grasshoppers Lawn and Garden Service. He was a die-hard New York Giants fan. Bubby loved to dress and everything had to match from head to toe. He had a collection of caps to match every outfit he wore. His favorite saying was, “make the money and keep it moving” and “Blah-zah, blah-zah.”

Felix leaves to honor his memory: his fiancé, Jeanie Mason of Pocomoke City, MD; three sons, Corey Denson (Tamara), Christopher Brittingham, and Benjamin Denson; five grandsons, Corey, Jr., Darius, Cam’Ron, Camaury, and Christian; one great-granddaughter, Aubree Rose Tamara Denson; two young ladies whom he raised, Ashley Mason and her daughter Amauri, and Chelsea Williams (Tommy) and her son, Jayden; one brother, Benjamin Gerald of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Latonya and Zidiona Gerald, both of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted cousin, Mary Virginia White of Parksley, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
