James Edward Wescott, son of Farris Mae Wescott Strand and the late James Davis, was born on May 16, 1953 in Nassawadox, Virginia. He departed this life on October 5, 2019 at Riverside Shore Memoria Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.
“Jimmy,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. He was a truck driver for many years at Perdue Farms in Accomac, Virginia and was currently employed at Tyson Foods in Temperanceville, Virginia.
At the age of thirty-seven, he met the love of his life, Lisa and they celebrated thirty years of marital life on September 6, 2019.
Jimmy will be remembered for his infectious smile and his love for everyone he came into contact with, especially his daughter. He never met a stranger; in fact, he was known for his outspoken mannerism and counseling skills. He led a good life with his wife always by his side. His life was filled with joy. Today’s celebration of triumph is a mere reflection of a life well-lived.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James Davis, stepfather, Preston Strand; grandmother, Tillie Wescott; grandfather, Colbert Wescott; son, James Edward Forman; and sister, Joyce Miles.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Lisa Predeoux Wescott; daughter, Leah Wescott; stepson, Donshia Predeoux; mother, Farris Mae Strand; sisters, Ivy Jane White, Francesta Watts, and Carolyn (David) Baines; brothers, Preston Lynell Strand, James Davis, Ronnie Davis, and Robert Davis; aunts, Gloria Fletcher and Georgianna Sturgis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
