Janene Yvonne Kellam was born on October 4, 1972 to the late Fred D. Kellam, Jr. and Shirley Lewis Kellam, at her grandmother Rosie’s residence in Accomac, Virginia. She departed this life on October 24, 2019 at her residence in Newport News, Virginia.

Janene, affectionately known as “Nene Girl,” was educated in the public schools in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. She graduated from Salem High School.
Janene was blessed with three sons with her companion, Phillip Moore. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing to her. She truly enjoyed attending family gatherings, where lots of laughter and good times were shared.
Janene had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need, she never said no. Her loving spirit had a way of brightening anyone’s day. This will surely be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Bertha Kellam and Fred and Rosie Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Anthony Moore, Davon Moore, and Elkan Moore; grandchildren, Tyler Dabney and Bryce Ganby; siblings, Kendra (Rodney) Gist, Derrick Kellam, and Shaniqua Kellam; nieces, Kanisha Kellam, Ashley Kellam, Jasmine Kellam, and Shautiana Kellam; nephews, Kelvin Carter, Jr. and Tae’Sean Kellam; and a host aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
