Russell Bud Johnson, Jr., of Parksley, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Russell was born on April 19, 1950 in Atlantic, Virginia to the late Russell and Cora Johnson.

Russell was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. He worked various jobs throughout his lifetime, mainly in the farming industry.
Russell’s greatest joy was playing his guitar, going to church, and naming cars and trucks by looking at the model. He loved his morning coffee, he would drink it hot or cold.
Russell began his Christian walk at St. John’s United Methodist Church and later joined St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Russell loved his family and they loved him. He was known for calling everyone, no matter male or female, a “mole.” Russell’s jovial spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his sisters, Estelle and Grace; and brothers, Ricky, Jerry, and Milton.
Russell is survived by his son, Norman “CJ” Crawley; siblings, Sharon (Alvin) Thomas of Atlantic, VA, Harold (Barbara) Johnson of Wattsville, VA, and Harvey (Marie) Johnson of Dover, DE; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
