Isiah Ridley, beloved son of the late Isaiah and Mary Lou Ridley, was born on August 8, 1934 in Parksley, Virginia. He peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his daughter’s residence in New Church, Virginia.

Isiah was employed by Byrd’s Foods, Chesapeake Plywood, and Mid-Atlantic Foods. He was a dedicated employee until the closing of each business.

Isiah enjoyed watching soap operas, cutting grass, sitting outdoors, and often taking things apart and then reconstructing them.

In October 1958, Isiah wed Grace Downing and from that union five children were born.

Isiah was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Ridley and a granddaughter, Shenia Ridley.

Left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Grace Ridley of Parksley, VA; five children, Priscilla “Ann” Tyler of Parksley, VA, Isaiah Ridley, III of New Church, VA, Mary Ridley-Tucker of Richmond, VA, Michael Ridley of Parksley, VA, and Tammy (Ermon) Conquest of New Church, VA; seven grandchildren, Denise, Samantha, Kevin, Keith, Welford, DeAnna, and DeAndre; twenty-two great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Minnie) Ridley; two sisters, Helen Edwards and Ethel (Linwood) Dickerson, all of Parksley, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Our most memorable memories include the past 25years he spent with his faithful companion Delores, the kids, grand-kids and his St. James U.M. Church, Westover, Md., family where he was a member. Mr. Ike as he was known to us all was one of the most loving, kind and affectionate person you could know. He never looked for praises, and he was never one to boast.
He was always there, for those he loved the most. We will memorialize your life together on Sat. Nov. 30, 2019 @ St. James United Methodist Church, Westover, Md. @ 11:00am. "Sleep on Mr. Ike" all of us are grateful for the years of joy you brought to our family. Sorrowfully Submitted, Sheila, Michael, Anthony, Welton, Tiana, Justin, Cliff, Toni, AJ, Taylor, Riley & Kayden.
