Keddie was a 2007 graduate of Nandua High School in Onley, Virginia. She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant and prior to her illness, she was employed by Shore Health & Rehabilitative Center in Parksley, Virginia. Even though, she was confined at home, Keddie was still interested in pursuing classes to further her education.
Keddie was a quiet independent person with a beautiful smile. She enjoyed reading and showing off her latest “Betty-Boop” purchase or her new “Jordans.” Keddie loved her nieces and her nephew. She enjoyed spending time at family gatherings and learning new dance steps with her cousins.
Keddie was an active member of New Allen Memorial AME Church in Franktown, Virginia, where she served as a Junior Usher, member of the YPD Choir, and the Praise Dance Team. Even during her illness, Keddie expressed a desire to come to church and as soon as her health permitted it, she would ask her family to bring her to church.
