“Lisa,” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. Lisa enjoyed being with her family and loved having large family gatherings She enjoyed talking on the phone and getting her nails and hair done. We will forever miss her smile and words of wisdom. Lisa was a woman known for many things and to express what type of woman she was just couldn’t be put into a few words.
“Words from Leah”
"Mom loved talking with everyone and listening to everyone’s stories, she loved to ride up and down the road and going to the stores, even if it was just window shopping. Mom was a person who told you the truth and if she liked you, she loved you and if she didn’t, she would let you know in a heartbeat. Mom was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. When it came to her kids, she would drop everything and was always there when we called. She loved her grandchildren with every breath in her body. She would do what she could for anyone, if she was able to. Mom was a strong, black woman who had been through so much in her lifetime. Mom, we hope we are making you proud and we will be eternally grateful to God that he blessed us with you."
In addition to her parents “Lisa” was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac and Mary Drummond; aunts, Alice Drummond, Peggy Bell, Margie Brown, and Dorothy Washington; and uncles, Preston and Leroy Drummond.
