Phillip Montel Chandler of Laurel, Delaware, was called home suddenly early Wednesday morning, August 26, 2020 at his residence. He was thirty-six years old. “P.C.,” as he was affectionately known, was born at the Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Virginia on July 10, 1984 to George Cooper and Ethel Chandler Sample.

“P.C.” was a graduate of Nandua High School’s class of 2002. After graduation, he attended Eastern Shore Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering. He began his career in 2004 with Allen & Shariff, where he was employed for sixteen years, and made quite the work family.
To know him was to love him. He would brighten any room up with his big smile. Those that were close to him always knew he was a person you could count on. “P.C.” possessed a big heart just like his mother. He loved to sing and educate us all on the many different types of music artist. “P.C.” had a love for music and helping others. He also enjoyed collecting different types of comic book related items and technological toys.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Ethel L. Chandler Sample; his grandparents, Ernest and Ethel Chandler, Sr.; his cousin, Dominique Chandler; and uncles, George Chandler, Sr. and Kenneth Chandler, Sr.
P.C. is survived by his fiancée, Tammy Barnes of Laurel DE and her three children that he loved as his own, Savanna Sky, Jacob David, and Seth Tyler; his father, Benny Sample, Sr.; his brothers, Tony Weeks, Jr., Kenneth “K.C.” Chandler, Jr., and John “Johnny” Clyde; sister, Syreeta Elmore; godson, Jalen Bryant; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
