Perry William Harmon, beloved son of the late Howard and Shirley Harmon, was born on August 1, 1961 in Jenkins Bridge, Virginia. He peacefully departed this life on October 17, 2020 in Cape Charles, Virginia.

Perry received his formal education in the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia. Upon graduation, he began working for the Eastern Shore Community Service Board in Exmore, Virginia. He held this position until his health began to fail.

In his leisure, Perry enjoyed planting flowers, making clay sculptures, bird houses, and bowling. He also loved to watch tv, his favorite show was Scooby Doo, and he enjoyed riding horses. Perry was a participant in the local Special Olympics for many years and truly enjoyed doing so. He also had a love for hats and watches and possessed quite a collection.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Lee Harmon.

He leaves to mourn: three sisters, Connie Williams of Nelsonia, VA, Willie Cropper of New Church, VA, and Aretha (Ervin) Fedderman of Melfa, VA; three aunts, Faye Frazier of Jenkins Bridge, VA, Effie Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY, and Anne Tull of Wattsville, VA; three uncles, Lester (Diane) Holden of Makemie Park, VA, Joe Holden of Pocomoke, MD, and Randy Holden of Virginia Beach, VA; dedicated caregiver, John Tomlin and his family; special nieces and nephew, Elderick, Ashley, and Sheena; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In the light of the evolving situation with COVID-19 virus, we are making adjustments to adapt to the current health emergency. In order to reduce the spread of the virus in our community, we are limiting the public’s access to our facility. We will continue to serve our families with the utmost dignity, as well as maintain the safety guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Inc. will comply and hold all services private until further notice. We will not have any public viewings in our facility. In an effort to accommodate family and friends, we are posting photos and the funeral/graveside service video of your loved ones on their respective Book of Memory pages on our website, This will allow you to have a lasting memory picture and attend the service virtually. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time and as soon as this matter is resolved, we will resume our normal practices.

I remember going to aunt Shirley's house every summer back when Sheena and Ashley was little, they would pretend to brew up some tea and they want me to drink it and I'd pretend to spit it out and say WHAT ARE YOU TWO TRYING TO DO, KILL ME!!!!!!
And Perry would bust out laughing, I think about those days every time I walk pass the spot where aunt Shirley traylor used to be.....

Momma sends her love,

She said Perry's with his mother and brother now,

God bless his soul.
