Truly personal & thoroughly professional attention.

Welcome

We're so proud to be the chosen funeral home in Accomack County by many.

The funeral home is an important part of any community. In addition to providing a variety of necessary services to the community such as burial services, cremation services, memorial services and celebrations of life, funeral homes also serve as resources for those grieving the loss of a loved one.

When it comes time to make the decision regarding the funeral home you will trust to care for a loved one or to take care of your pre-planning arrangements, we are here for you.

In August of 1997, the former C. C. Humbles Funeral Service became Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Inc. We are so excited to celebrate 25 years of service to the Eastern Shore. We are so grateful to the families who have trusted us to care for them and their loved ones.

To celebrate this milestone we will host a virtual celebration via Facebook Live on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 5:00 PM. We will have a drawing to bless 25 families with a monetary gift to show our appreciation. Each winner will be contacted following the virtual celebration to receive their gift. Winners will be selected from the families we have served since August 1997 to the current date. This will be the person who was financially responsible for the funeral expenses.

We thank each of you for the opportunity to serve this great community and we pray that we have been and will continue to be a blessing through our service.

Reminder: THIS IS A VIRTUAL ONLY EVENT!!!

COVID-19 Pandemic

In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19 virus, we are making adjustments to adapt to the current health emergency. In order to reduce the spread of the virus in our community, we are limiting the public’s access to our facility. We will continue to serve our families with the utmost dignity, as well as maintain the safety guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Our private in person gatherings at our chapel are limited to 100 individuals for indoor settings and outdoors settings are permitted to have unlimited individuals.

Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Inc. will hold all chapel services private until further notice. Services held at the church or graveside are public services. We will have public viewings during the appointed time only for each family.  In an effort to accommodate family and friends, we are posting photos and the funeral/graveside service video of your loved ones on their respective Book of Memory pages on our website, www.cooperandhumbles.com.

This will allow you to have a lasting memory picture and attend the service virtually. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time and as soon as this matter is resolved, we will resume our normal practices.
